This has caused an international stir.
In a shocking turn of events, Republican Senator Lindsey Graham called upon Russians to “step up” and kill President Vladimir Putin as he continues to wage war on Ukraine.
In an interview with Fox’s Sean Hannity, Graham shocked the world and said, “Somebody in Russia has to step up to the plate. Is there a Brutus in Russia? Is there a more successful Colonel Stauffenberg in the Russian military.”
Graham then said, “This only way this ends my friend is for somebody in Russia to take this guy out. You would be doing your country a great service and the world a great service.”
Lindsey Graham’s comments drew backlash immediately from both sides of the government. President Biden nor former President Donald Trump has not yet spoken about Graham’s comments however.
“Squad” member Rep. Ilhan Omar reacted to Graham’s comments and said, “Seriously, wtf? I really wish our members of Congress would cool it and regulate their remarks as the administration works to avoid WWlll. As the world pays attention to how the US and its leaders are responding, Lindsey’s remarks and remarks made by some House members aren’t helpful.”
Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene responded to Graham’s comments and said, “While we are all praying for peace & for the people of Ukraine, this is irresponsible, dangerous & unhinged. We need leaders with calm minds & steady wisdom. Not blood thirsty warmongering politicians trying to tweet tough by demanding assassinations.”
Ingraham: I don’t know why a sitting US Senator would be tweeting that out. It seems really dangerous and stupid and we like Lindsey Graham but that’s just a stupid comment pic.twitter.com/yp7ks3tYMC
