Looks like CNN will have to PAY UP…
This is what happens when you try to divide the country with slanderous and defamatory journalism.
According to the Washington Examiner, CNN has finally reached a settlement with Covington Catholic Student Nick Sandmann and it looks like Sandmann WON!
The final amount Sandmann received remains undisclosed but CNN has confirmed that they have reached a settlement.
Sandmann’s lawyers Todd McMurtry and Lin Wood originally sued CNN for $275 million according to The Daily Wire.
“CNN was probably more vicious in its direct attacks on Nicholas than The Washington Post. And CNN goes into millions of individuals’ homes,” Wood told Fox News. “CNN couldn’t resist the idea that here’s a guy with a young boy, that Make America Great Again cap on. So they go after him.”
“They really went after Nicholas with the idea that he was part of a mob that was attacking the Black Hebrew Israelites, yelling racist slurs at the Black Hebrew Israelites. Totally false,” Wood added. “Now you say you’ve seen the tape; if you took the time to look at the full context of what happened that day, Nicholas Sandmann did absolutely nothing wrong. He was, as I’ve said to others, he was the only adult in the room.”
Sandmann could possibly have up to 53 other lawsuits in the works, some of which include: The Washington Post, The New York Times, NBC’s Chuck Todd, Ilhan Omar, Elizabeth Warren, Kathy Griffin, and Alyssa Milano! for the full list of go here.
