As the Hillary Clinton scandal continues to gather momentum, Democrats are trying to launch a new Trump witch hunt to take attention away from John Durham’s investigation.
According to The Hill, it now appears that the presidential record keepers have indicated that when Trump left the White House after his first term, he took around 15 boxes of classified national security documents with him which later needed to be retrieved from his home in Mar-a-Lago.
The news from the National Archives and Record Administration (NARA) came not long after the House Oversight Committee launched an investigation into Trump’s handling of presidential records last week.
National Archivist David Ferriero explained, “NARA has identified items marked as classified national security information within the boxes.”
“Because NARA identified classified information in the boxes, NARA staff has been in communication with the Department of Justice,” he added.
“NARA has identified certain social media records that were not captured and preserved by the Trump Administration. NARA has also learned that some White House staff conducted official business using non-official electronic messaging accounts that were not copied or forwarded into their official electronic messaging accounts, as required,” Ferriero added.
