She isn’t backing down!
During a recent event in Texas, Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez doubled down on conservatives and swore that the state of Texas will turn blue while she was endorsing two Democrats for Congress for the upcoming primary next month.
According to Fox‘s Chad Pergram, Ocasio-Cortez stood at the podium and vowed, “Texas turning blue. Inevitable. Inevitable! It will happen. The only question is when..We’re going to make sure we unionize the hell out of this state.”
She then talked about the two Democrats she endorsed and said, “Here’s what’s exciting about Jessica’s race and Greg’s race … is that if we flip Texas, we flip the country. Texas turning blue is inevitable. The only question is when. We are going to fight for a living wage, we are going to make sure we unionize the hell out of this state … and we’re going to make sure that not one dime is made exploitatively across any worker, especially the undocumented.”
While the thought of AOC flipping the state of Texas to blue is hilarious. Many top Republicans believe it is a big concern.
Texas’ Ted Cruz stated in the past, “If we lose Texas, it’s game over. I don’t believe Texas will turn blue, but central to that is we’re going to have to work to communicate and turn people out.“
