Here’s what happened…
Colorado Mayor Shane Fuhrman sparked outrage after he decided to ban the Pledge Of Allegiance at board meetings, a tradition that has been kept for literally decades.
According to the Gateway Pundit, Fuhrman stated, “Due to direct and indirect threats, inappropriate comments in and out of public meetings, and the general divisiveness this is creating in our community, we will not be doing the Pledge of Allegiance during town of Silverton board of trustee meetings.”
Mayor Fuhrman banned the Pledge of Allegiance without holding a vote for the decision and Town Trustee Molly Barela challenged Fuhrman’s decision and recited the Pledge anyways prompting Fuhrman to lash out.
