Dr. Fauci couldn’t have failed worse.
In a recent interview with Fox News, President Trump put top infectious disease expert, Dr. Anthony Fauci, on blast for failing to appropriately manage the coronavirus pandemic across America.
According to the Washington Examiner, “Dr. Fauci is a nice man, but he’s made a lot of mistakes,” Trump stressed.
Criticism by President Trump came after COVID-19 cases spiked in southern states beginning in June and Fauci suggested that certain states “should seriously look at shutting down” again.
President Trump also admitted that Fauci and others in his coronavirus task force urged Trump to not issue a travel ban for China and Europe “when Italy and when France and Spain were having all the problems.”
“They’ve been wrong about a lot of things, including face masks,” Trump stated. “Maybe they’re wrong, maybe not, but a lot of them said, ‘Don’t wear a mask, don’t wear a mask,’ and now they’re saying, ‘Wear a mask.’ So a lot of mistakes were made.”
