And she calls herself a conservative?
ABC’s The View co-host Meghan McCain ran wild with conspiracy theories and accused President Trump of planning to leverage the coronavirus pandemic to enact “draconian” measures for his own personal gain.
According to the Washington Examiner, the daughter of the late Senator John McCain said, “My argument for keeping the press conferences is: I think we’re at a place where President Trump — he’s always been a sort of totalitarian president in a way that we’ve never historically seen before.”
“My fear is that he’s going to play on the American public’s fears in a draconian way and possibly do something akin to the Patriot Act going forward where he uses this moment in time to play off our fears for his own benefit,” McCain said.
McCain’s co-host Sunny Hostin disagreed with McCain saying, “I just don’t even think that certain networks should even air these press conferences. I think they are akin to Trump’s rallies. I think they’re dangerous for the American public. I mean, I almost think that you listen to them at your own peril.”
